Psychological development in contemporary times has been defined by the need to establish investigative processes that address the questions arising from the reality represented by the disorders of people who present depressive signs, accompanied by feelings of helplessness and reduced self-esteem, therefore the objective of this research was to identify to what extent social support is determinant in depressive disorders in young adults between the ages of 18 and 25 with depression symptoms. The qualitative approach was used using, methods: bibliographic and descriptive that allowed to analyze and determine the two variables with conceptualizations and experiences in the implementation of different works that describe the perception of depression, anxiety and social support of relatives, relatives and close friends; the simple random method was used, with a random selection of a group of families (121 people), from 3 to 6 members, who share affective relationships with patients in a state of depression. A mood of conclusion the data allowed us to understand and analyze the importance of the awareness of the disease and the support resources that the family must develop in a social integration.
