Abstract

SANTIAGO-LOPEZ, Carlos  and  FARFAN-PIMENTEL, Johnny Félix. Autonomous learning and attitudes towards mathematics in accounting and finance students at Universidad de San Martín de Porres. ReHuSo [online]. 2023, vol.8, n.1, pp.65-79.  Epub Apr 05, 2023. ISSN 2550-6587.  https://doi.org/10.33936/rehuso.v8i1.5256.

Abstract The present study considered determining the relationship between autonomous learning and attitudes towards mathematics in accounting and finance students at the Universidad de San Martín de Porres. In relation to the methodology, a quantitative approach was applied, with a non-experimental, basic level and correlational design. The population consisted of 650 students of the Professional School of Accounting and Finance of the Universidad de San Martín de Porres. By probability sampling, the sample consisted of 242 students. After Spearman's Rho statistical process, the results showed r = 0.280** and p value = 0.000<0.05. In other words, autonomous learning and attitudes towards mathematics are directly and significantly related in accounting and finance students of the University of San Martin de Porres. Thus, the alternative hypothesis was accepted and the null hypothesis was rejected.
