Abstract When speaking of feminism, it refers to the group of women who defend their rights and who are listened to, respected and inserted in society equally. However, modern feminism pretends to belittle men and maintains that women should be first in everything. In this sense, interest was aroused in analyzing modern feminism, as an ideology against men or in favor of women, in the ninth-level students of the Social Work career of the Technical University of Manabí. The methodology used in this work was descriptive based on a quantitative approach, which was carried out at the Technical University of Manabí and included the ninth-level students of the Social Work career. The realization of this study was based on theories and research on the subject; The data collection was done through virtual tools using the survey technique, the instrument of which was the question guide and was carried out on the internet to the women under study. Likewise, it could be concluded that feminism as such is the search and equality of men and women. Yet modern feminism encompasses erroneous thoughts about gender equality; that is, they argue that only women are equal and therefore should have better opportunities than men in all areas.
