Abstract

The present work aims to analyse the current state of inclusivity in hotels in tourist areas in the city Manta. For the preparation, a descriptive field research was accomplished which is supported in the application of a questionnaire type instrument to the personnel who work in these establishments. As a result of the investigation, it was found that 10 of the 12 hotels subject to the investigation that are located in the tourist area of the city of Manta don`t satisfactorily comply with the services they should offer in attention to these people with special disabilities, taking into account what is stipulated the Organic Law on Desabilities (CONADIS) the Standard Ecuadorian Technique for the Accessibility of People to the Physical Environment (signage) and the Tourist accommodation regulation. In summary it can be said that it`s necessary and pertinent that these establishment implement or strengthen their inclusión strategies in a way, that the are able to attend clients with disabilities in a satisfactory manner.
