Abstract Currently, new ideologies and technologies as well as new consumer values have upset the behavior of contemporary generations in our society, thereby generating new patterns of behavior in young people and a new social organization, where the family is seen seriously impacted, in this sense, if family and adolescence are combined, these social transformations of the family can potentiate the difficulties typical of this period of development in which the biological, social and psychological changes of the adolescent interact, thus generating a platform of vulnerability that will promote the development of risk behaviors in adolescents. The research was carried out with the objective of determining the family dynamics associated with risky behaviors in adolescents from families in the jurisdiction of Aparicio Pomares. The type and level of research was correlational, descriptive, explanatory, analytical, prospective and cross-sectional, with a sample of 258 residents, who met the selection criteria, as a sampling frame we had records of home visits to the marginal urban area of Aparicio Pomares. To collect data, the questionnaire was used and the survey was used as a technique. The main conclusions were that families in the jurisdiction of Aparicio Pomares, in their perception of family dynamics, consider it definitely important to live, are to have a united family and to believe in God, and with regard to risk behaviors that families present are that teenage girls have had unwanted pregnancies.
