Abstract Innovation and technology play an important role in current education from the field of new ways of knowing and communicating within the classroom; therefore, it is necessary to implement innovative teaching strategies through the use of information technologies. Hence, the present study works from the educational theoretical and aims to identify the academic practices that teachers develop when using new technologies, to create creative learning environments. The methodology that was used in the research was of mixed, quantitative-quantitative type, through the investigative instrument of the survey, applied to the teachers of the Educational Unit June 5-garden of the city of Manta. The findings of this research allow to know the type of academic practices that are developed during the didactic interaction that mediates the teacher between the new learning scenarios that are created with the use of new technologies; the student learns in a more attractive, enjoyable, fun and simple way. The present work concludes that the didactic practices executed through the use of the Tics generate creative learning environments, from the motivation to learn, the interaction without geographical barriers, to the creative participation of the group work; which allows them to experiment inside and outside the classroom.
