In recent years, many studies have been carried out on technical and technological education at the higher level. For this reason, technical education is assumed, mainly, as an alternative to the labour mobility of the new generations, insofar as the needs of the country, its level of productivity and competitiveness are identified, to achieve synergies between the State, the real sector of the economy and the academy, enabling human talent to be trained with the relevant skills. Science and technology are therefore intended to acquire a mainly social character in order to meet existing demands. Technical and technological education as an alternative to the training of current generations has been determined in various works; this study, instead, focuses its perspective on the research processes generated by several proposals, mainly in the academic order, which have been raised at the Instituto Superior Tecnológico Paulo Emilio Macías in the city of Portoviejo, province of Manabí, Ecuador. In this context, this document seeks to investigate the investigative procedures carried out in this institution, which constitute an axis and the backbone of various processes in technical and technological higher education. Both teachers and students prepare for this challenge, which is synthesized in a quality education for the acquisition of the required skills. The research aspect has always been present because the higher technological institutes every day have the purpose of responding academically to the demands and requirements of the strategic sectors, priorities and essential public services.
