The objective of this work is to offer a critical reflection about the teaching practicum of students in the School of Pedagogy of the National and Foreign Languages at Universidad Técnica de Manabí, demonstrating the social impact of this activity in relation with the formative and investigative process and its contribution to the society. For this reason was made a scientific documents analysis in the same way the normative documents that regulate this type of educational activity. In conclusion the teaching practicum is a constantly training in public and private companies, in the same way the professionals, leaders, and managers; a rol in the scientific disclosure and cultural diversity; in addition a rol in social transformation and community development and a role in the technological transference, with a strategic vision of development.
