Abstract

MOREIRA SANCHEZ, Paola. The TIC in significant learning and its role in the cognitive development of adolescents. ReHuSo [online]. 2019, vol.4, n.2, pp.1-14.  Epub Aug 02, 2019. ISSN 2550-6587.  https://doi.org/10.33936/rehuso.v4i2.2124.

Significant learning is important in the student because it allows him to achieve new ideas and develop the ability to interpret and acquire knowledge levels. This type of learning should consider education as a comprehensive plan that encompasses methods, techniques and didactic resources that prioritize the process and teamwork, energizing teaching and training in general. The main objective was to analyse the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the learning process of students, through observation and survey techniques to improve meaningful learning, as the problem identified originates from the limited use and application of ICT in a creative way to support the learning process. In this regard, adolescents attending the secondary school in the Costa Azul Educational Unit of the city of Manta, province of Manabí, Ecuador, have been considered as objects of empirical study. Thus, one of the principles of this text focuses on the prevalence of innovative didactic strategies to promote a dynamic cognitive process, Thus avoiding the traditional pedagogy and prioritizing a meaningful and autonomous learning that reaches the formation purposes demanded by the world today.
