Resumen

ARAY ANDRADE, Carlos Alberto; PARRAGA QUIJANO, Orlando Francisco  y  CHUN MOLINA, Raúl. The lack of education of the geometry in the average level and his repercussion in the university level: analysis of the process of leveling of Manabí's Technical University. ReHuSo [online]. 2019, vol.4, n.1, pp.23-36.  Epub 31-Abr-2019. ISSN 2550-6587.  https://doi.org/10.33936/rehuso.v4i1.1622.

The geometry is a many-sided branch of the mathematics. His wealth, product of the narrow relation with other mathematical domains, the natural and social sciences and the daily life, includes several dimensions. In this context, the intention of this article is to present the results obtained of the investigation realized in Manabí's Technical University to teachers and pupils to know his perception on the need of the education and learning of the flat geometry in the secondary level and his repercussion in the educational top area. The results show that the lack of education of the geometry in the secondary education has provoked an emptiness in the holistic knowledge of the mathematics, which impedes the education of matters as mathematical analysis, linear algebra, descriptive, physical, static geometry and topography. The skill for the resolution of geometric problems develops a coherent deductive reasoning and when this lack exists in the average level this type of skills and skills are not promoted in the educational top area.
