The purpose of this paper is to analyse the use and management of geotechnologies in the teaching of geosciences in the careers of Earth sciences and geography of the pedagogical institutions of Maturin (IPM). It was approached as a field investigation, with a descriptive teach, using a sample of 13 teachers and 64 students of the aforementioned careers to whom they were applied a questionnaire. As a result it was found that not all teachers use these geotechnologies in their academic work, however, Mani-Fiesta in its entirety, like the students, to agree with their employment in the teaching of geosciences and in the study of Landscape. It is concluded that the use of the same is of importance and that they are given the conditions for its application in the classroom, thus it will be possible to improve the process of teaching learning in the field of the geosciences in the Pedagogical Institute mentioned above.
