PELEGRIN NARANJO, Lestter; SABIN RODRIGUEZ, Rafael  and  MARTINEZ RODRIGUEZ, Orlando. THE LIFE CYCLE OF THE TOURIST PRODUCT. TRINIDAD OF CUBA AS A CASE STUDY. ReHuSo [online]. 2018, vol.3, n.2, pp.1-12.  Epub Aug 03, 2018. ISSN 2550-6587.  https://doi.org/10.33936/rehuso.v3i2.1370.

Like any phenomenon, the tourist product evolves and in its development it goes through different stages, which adopt the particular stamp of the country or region where it is promoted. In the article the authors use the method of documentary analysis in the revision of the most updated theoretical postulates about the life cycle of the tourism product, from a descriptive perspective of the quantitative-qualitative methodology and take as a case study the city of Trinidad de Cuba, declared as Cultural Heritage of Humanity 30 years ago, from which its tourism product based essentially on the preservation of its heritage values was more intensely promoted. The conditions in which the tourist product in the territory is developed from the general situation of the country are examined. The results point towards the revitalization of the tourism product city Trinidad de Cuba from a set of 35 actions. As conclusions, the need for a pronouncement for the management of the conservation of the tourist product Ciudad Trinidad de Cuba, which is in a stage of deceleration in its development and with symptoms of deterioration, is highlighted.
