The present study was carried out with the objective of describing, using a qualitative approach, the ethical and social implications that nurses care for older adults. In this context, technological advances in the field of health, show that nursing professional should have incorporated in their professional ethical principles, humanistic vision, basic knowledge of the laws and a sense of responsibility that you enable it to provide adequate comprehensive care. The ethical analysis must begin with a thorough assessment of the status of the patient and the nature of his illness, the preferences of the patient, his judgments of value and its social, cultural and economic reality. It is necessary to again to give priority to the service of the individual, their family and their community, since in the current hospital setting tends to place greater emphasis on scientific and technological progress and the aspect in the daily work of health professionals I technical or political work. Thus, the present work was carried out with the purpose of providing new knowledge that can serve as a basis for improving the quality of care to the elderly in the field of health.
