Abstract

MOREIRA VERA, Diana Victoria. THE LOVE: FROM THE ACCUMBENS UNTIL BORGES. ReHuSo [online]. 2017, vol.2, n.2, pp.124-139.  Epub Aug 23, 2017. ISSN 2550-6587.  https://doi.org/10.33936/rehuso.v2i2.848.

The leitmotiv that has taken man from the destruction of Troy until the writing of the Songs of Songs, has also been useful for humanity as a functional excuse for the perpetuation of its species. Love, evolutionary balm, is presented here under its analysis in a holistic way, reviewing its biological foundations and the various definitions which has acquired over the ages in the different minds of world literature to answer to the question every human being has asked once in his life: Can love birth and die?

Keywords : love; literature; brain; accumbens; dopamine.
