MARTINEZ CUMBRERA., Jorge Manuel. Internal geographic mobility. Its consideration as grounds for modifying the employment contract in Cuba. Revista San Gregorio [online]. 2023, vol.1, n.56, pp.159-170. ISSN 2528-7907.  https://doi.org/10.36097/rsan.v1i56.2396.

The geographical mobility of the worker constitutes an instrument for improving productivity; cost reduction; and optimization of resources; which are aspects that must be addressed by the company to consolidate its economic position. To protect the worker's right to geographical permanence in his workplace, it is not enough to just allege the existence of an objective cause, but this must be proven. The general objective of the investigation was to determine the main deficiencies that internal geographic mobility presents as a cause for modification of the employment contract in the Cuban labor legal system. A mixed or multimodal type of research was carried out, since qualitative approaches were combined: theoretical and empirical, in the analysis of the object of study, from a natural perspective, studying the phenomenon in the environment where it unfolds. The findings showed that the Cuban labor legal system does not recognize geographic mobility as a cause for modification of the employment contract.

Palavras-chave : work contract; displacement; contract modification; geographical mobility.
