BENOIT RIOS, Claudine Glenda. Empathic listening, a fundamental skill for collaborative teaching work. Revista San Gregorio [online]. 2023, vol.1, n.54, pp.165-182. ISSN 2528-7907. https://doi.org/10.36097/rsan.v0i54.2213.
The various human interrelationships involve the implementation of fundamental skills for communication and performance in society. Collaborative teaching work is not exempt from these interactions that, on many occasions, are mediated by affective ties and the development of important skills. In this context, the general objective of the study was to analyze the perceptions of primary school teachers regarding communication based on emotionality, in collaborative environments. The research is qualitative, with a descriptive approach. Using the non-probabilistic convenience sampling technique, 30 primary school teachers from different Chilean educational establishments were selected. The information collection process considered the application of a questionnaire with open questions and the execution of discussion groups. The main results highlight the role of empathic listening as an essential skill for collaborative teaching work; At the same time, they highlight the value of effective communication and affective bonds involved in the development of social skills at school. The projections of this research focus on opening other edges of analysis of collaborative work and empathy from the interdisciplinary.
