Abstract
MURILLO-ZAMBRANO, María Fernanda; MOREIRA-MACIAS, Eugenia Lyli and GUERRERO-ALCIVAR, María Shirlendy. Progressive social interest housing prototype for the canton Portoviejo. Revista San Gregorio [online]. 2023, vol.1, n.54, pp.147-164. ISSN 2528-7907. https://doi.org/10.36097/rsan.v0i54.2194.
The objective of this study was to establish a progressive housing prototype based on physical and cultural characteristics and growth patterns. A study was carried out with a mixed approach, of a descriptive-observational type. Through a documentary review in indexed databases, articles with the keywords progressive, flexible and adaptable housing were rescued; physical and cultural characteristics; housing growth patterns. In addition, a survey was applied to 99 participants, which measured the perception of the population regarding the needs of environments and problems that arise in the home. The results showed that the physical and cultural characteristics and growth patterns in progressive social interest housing are aesthetic or formal aspects, family dynamics/increase in the family nucleus, and space to carry out an economic activity, respectively. It was demonstrated the need for the participation of future inhabitants to be considered from the conception of the design of social interest housing when knowing the habitability and production needs.
