Abstract
GARCIA OJALVO, Irina; GALARZA LOPEZ, Judith and SEPULVEDA LIMA, Roberto. SADIES computer system to support the process of admission to Cuban higher education. Revista San Gregorio [online]. 2023, vol.1, n.53, pp.1-15. ISSN 2528-7907. https://doi.org/10.36097/rsan.v0i53.1957.
In the Cuban social context, admission to higher education, its quality, equity and inclusion as expressions of social justice acquires particular relevance. Likewise, the use of computer systems has become an indispensable practice as part of the assurance actions of this process. The purpose of this work is to analyze to what extent the SADIES computer system, software developed for this purpose, responds to the requirements of the process and to the needs for change arising from the continuous improvement of access to higher education. A quantitative descriptive study was carried out to assess user satisfaction with the software through the Iadov technique. Officials from the organizational and functional entities for admission, representatives from all the universities in the country, participated in the study. As a result, values were obtained that show clear satisfaction in 75% of subjects and a high rate of group satisfaction. These results are indicative of the effectiveness of the software to support the organizational, executive and control activities of the management of the admission process during the last decade in Cuba.
