Abstract

Covid-19 is a disease caused by the novel coronavirus known as SARS-CoV-2. The objective of the article was to carry out a bibliometric analysis on the scientific production of Covid-19 in Peru (2020-2022). The materials and methods were through a bibliometric review in the Scopus database. The search formula was used to extract documents (“Covid-19” OR “2021-nCoV” OR “SARS-CoV-2”), the available documents on Covid-19 in Peru since 2020 were organized through 2022 for the bibliometric analysis. The results found were 74 documents that belonged to 160 authors who were published as main authors and co-authors of said documents. The analysis evidenced the increase in scientific production during the period of time analyzed, with significant collaboration at the national and international level. The University with the highest scientific publication was the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, Lima, Peru. Finally, it was that the increase in the scientific production of Peruvian authors on Covid-19 in journals indexed in the Scopus database at the Peruvian and international level has been evidenced.
