MUNOZ RIVAS, Byron Javier and MENDOZA MOREIRA, Francisco Samuel. Logical-mathematical thinking and creative didactics: the case of the 13D01_C07 educational circuit in Ecuador. Revista San Gregorio [online]. 2022, vol.1, n.52, pp.126-143. ISSN 2528-7907. https://doi.org/10.36097/rsan.v0i52.2206.
The deficiencies and limitations in the development of logical thinking are reasons why educational subjects do not pass the standardized tests that require solving problems and transferring these capacities to daily life. The objective of this study was to determine the creative strategies that influence the development of mathematical thinking of Unified General Baccalaureate students in the educational circuit 13D01_C07 of the city of Portoviejo. The methodological work that has been carried out responded to the mixed approach, since a standardized instrument was applied to assess logical thinking and an in-depth interview to explore teaching strategies. The results show that the student body reaches acceptable values in the identification dimension, but this is not the case in the other dimensions. For their part, teachers do not use specific strategies for the development of logical thinking in teaching at the Unified General Baccalaureate level of the National Educational System. Finally, the didactics of teachers that do not include the stimulation of logical thinking skills and manifested in a low degree of consolidation of this ability to solve problems located and the daily life of students.
