Abstract
SANTELLAN PINEDO, Karla Andrea; PALOMINO ALVARADO, Gabriela del Pilar and WHITTEMBURY GARCIA, Karl. Information and communication management for a public hospital in Peru. Revista San Gregorio [online]. 2022, vol.1, n.52, pp.37-50. ISSN 2528-7907. https://doi.org/10.36097/rsan.v0i52.2113.
The main objective of this research was to propose an information and communication management model (GIC) for a public hospital in Peru; being a study of applied type and non-experimental design, with a study sample made up of 33 area heads and 91 collaborators. For data collection, the survey technique and the questionnaire were used as an instrument, being made up of 55 items. The study concluded that the management of information and communication in said institution has been managed poorly, this is due to the fact that the tools for the support of the GIC are not well managed, so the information is not fully reliable, timely, complete, relevant, not very useful. Starting from the critical nodes identified, a GIC Model has been designed that takes into account 3 key elements proposed by Muñoz et al. (2020), which are the aspects related to technologies, processes and human talent. Finally, through the criteria of 5 experts, it has been determined that the proposal is valid and viable to be applied, since a concordance of 98.26% has been achieved.
