Abstract
LEAL ORDONEZ, Linoel De Jesús and DO NASCIMENTO OSORIO, Antônio Carlos. An hermeneutics of illness and cure in the Sars-Covid-2 pandemic. Revista San Gregorio [online]. 2022, vol.1, n.49, pp.150-162. ISSN 2528-7907. https://doi.org/10.36097/rsan.v0i49.1722.
With the current Sars-CoV-2 pandemic (most commonly referred as Covid-19), the world has seen many of the schemes about the disease and the cure changed. On this pair, cultural and anthropological questions emerge to aid in the understanding of diseases and the devices for their control and / or cure. With this, it is argued that, in addition to these being phenomena based on objective facts, the interpretations that the subjects have about the disease-cure generate important information for a better understanding at a social and epidemiological level. This article aims to represent the concepts of disease and cure from a cultural-anthropological approach, presenting a hermeneutical horizon from the proposals of Paul Ricoeur, Hans-Georg Gadamer and Michel Foucault with the intention of generating the framework that helps to see disease and cure also as phenomena of understanding, without letting it aside as an empirical discovery.
