Abstract

BRAVO GUERRERO, Fabián Eugenio. Covid-19: Resilience of teachers due to abrupt change to virtual study modality. Revista San Gregorio [online]. 2021, vol.1, n.48, pp.211-221. ISSN 2528-7907.  https://doi.org/10.36097/rsan.v0i48.1822.

This research seeks to know the perceptions that teachers have about the changes that occurred when the transition from face-to-face to virtual classes occurred due to the Covid 19 pandemic. It is not known what teachers did in that period, it is important to understand how that transition happened, the difficulties they faced and the decisions they made. This research is a case study that has a qualitative approach, with the application of in-depth interviews and the use of the content analysis technique to the information provided by the teachers of an educational unit. It was found that initially teachers and students had difficulties with electronic devices, connectivity and resource management for virtual education; With the transition, the teachers and the institution had to make adaptations to the curriculum. Describing how teachers faced this transition allows us to understand their ability to take on challenges and adapt to new situations.

Keywords : Covid-19; math teachers; virtual mode.
