Abstract

GUERRERO ELECALDE, Rafael  and  LOPEZ SERRANO, Miguel Jesús. The comic as a resource for historical learning in primary education (Córdoba). Revista San Gregorio [online]. 2021, vol.1, n.47, pp.81-94. ISSN 2528-7907.  https://doi.org/10.36097/rsan.v1i47.1645.

Some of the problems encountered in the classroom when History content is taught are students’ low level of knowledge and the meager interest that this subject causes. These drawbacks are coupled with the predominance of traditional methods, without having produced the necessary didactic approach. For this reason, with the general objective of reflecting on the contributions of comics, as a pedagogical resource to delve into practices that help improve the teaching of Social Sciences content, it was designed and implemented in the Primary Education Degree of the University of Córdoba, in Spain, a practice of educational innovation based on the use of comics to teach history. After the end of the practice, information was collected among the students through a survey (using Google Forms) on the validity of comics as a didactic resource and their usefulness for the teaching of history, being subsequently analyzed with the SPSS statistical package, version 25.0 for Windows. The students positively estimated the innovation and realized that the comic is a valid tool for understanding the contents of the past.
