RAMOS CASTRO., Guillermo; HERNANDEZ NARINO., Arialys; BOLANOS RUIZ., Odalys    ALMEIDA CAMPOS., Santiago. Formulation of the process map of a Medical University, a requirement for institutional accreditation. []. , 1, 46, pp.170-184. ISSN 2528-7907.  https://doi.org/10.36097/rsan.v1i46.1471.

Medical University´s readiness for accreditation depended on, among other requisites, of defining its process map. There were documented previous attempts of process approach adoption; however, proposed maps were not aligned to organizational structure, they didn´t thoroughly illustrate all activities being developed and weren´t accepted unanimously by all representatives of the university. The objective of this work is to describe the formulation of the process map of the University of Medical Sciences of Matanzas as part of its preparation for institutional accreditation. An action-research study was carried out that had three stages: organization, process definition and results evaluation. As a result, the process map of the University of Medical Sciences was obtained, which formulation, with focus on process approach, favors the organization of activities and university´s work system. This is a key step into organizational accreditation.
