El siguiente artículo expone las experiencias y aprendizajes obtenidos por estudiantes y docentes de la carrera de Derecho de la Universidad San Gregorio de Portoviejo, por medio del proyecto “Asesoría Jurídica al Centro de Apoyo Integral San Pedro”. Este proyecto se realiza por la falta de actualización de vida jurídica, lo que impide el acceso a programas sociales tanto del gobierno local y nacional, así como de entidades internacionales. Sus beneficiarios son niños, niñas y adolescentes que presentan varias situaciones de vulneración de derechos. El artículo se plantea como objetivo fundamentar la relevancia social del trabajo de asesorías jurídicas a comunidades vulnerables por parte de instituciones universitarias. Los autores se basan en las experiencias sistematizadas del trabajo realizado por docentes y estudiantes de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad San Gregorio de Portoviejo con la comunidad benéfica de la Centro de Apoyo Integral San Pedro. Se empleó una metodología cualitativa con observación participante para la atención y asesoramiento a los padres, madres y funcionarios. El trabajo aportó la actualización de la normativa legal del centro y la efectividad de la asesoría en temas de derechos y responsabilidades padres, madres y personal administrativo.

The following article presents the experiences and learning obtained by students and teachers of the Law career of the San Gregorio de Portoviejo University, through the project "Legal Advice to the San Pedro Integral Support Center". This project is carried out due to the lack of updating of legal life, which prevents access to social programs from both the local and national government, international entities; Its beneficiaries are boys, girls and adolescents who present various situations of violation of rights. The objective of the project from which the article emanates was proposed to provide advice to the charitable community of the San Pedro Integral Support Center in its legal structure and to families in the care of various cases of rights violations, through the Law School. A qualitative methodology with participant observation was used for the care and advice to parents and officials. The main results show the updating of the legal regulations of the center and the effectiveness of the advice on issues of rights and responsibilities of fathers, mothers and administrative staff of the San Pedro Integral Support Center.
