The integration of information and communication technologies in the teaching process has become a necessity in recent years, therefore, teachers are required to present sufficient digital skills that allow their pedagogical practice to become a successful experience and quality. The objective of the research was to determine the sociodemographic variables associated with the digital skill of Peruvian teachers of regular basic education. The research approach was quantitative, non-experimental design and correlational type. The sample consisted of 202 teachers to whom the Digital Teaching Competence Questionnaire and a sociodemographic data sheet were applied. The results indicated that the digital skill of the majority of teachers are partially developed and it was determined that some variables such as age group, sex, work condition, years of service and educational level are significantly associated with the digital skill of the teachers. It was concluded that it is necessary for the Ministry of Education to strengthen the digital skills of teachers so that they can function adequately in the digital world and face the new educational challenges that technologies pose.
