Abstract

TRUJILLO ELJURI, Amira  and  BRITO CEDENO, Gabriel Anthony. "The absence of parental function: effects on the mother-child parental relationship. A series of clinical cases. Blanket 2019-2020 ". Revista San Gregorio [online]. 2020, n.43, pp.124-139. ISSN 2528-7907.  https://doi.org/10.36097/rsan.v1i43.1440.

The present research aims to describe the mother-child parental relationship and the psychological effects from the absence of paternal function in the studied cases of adolescents in the city of Manta. The decline of the paternal function has brought many consequences in the psychic constitution of the subject. In adolescents it is more clearly noted by their behavior, since the mother, by not enforcing the role of the law, results in young people with problems in their learning, in their behavior and in their relationship with others. The methodology used was based on the presentation of clinical cases. The theoretical foundation was articulated with the clinical cases, which are four, through their life experiences, interviews with mothers of the participating subjects and a key informant to demonstrate that the absence of this paternal function (physical and psychic) has psychological effects in the Mother-Son relationship. The results obtained in this present investigation basically point to the function of the father, as a function of law that regulates the psyche, through the mother's word, is fundamental for the psychic constitution and the personality of the subjects.
