The objective of this study was to analyze the variable Work Engagement in health professionals of the first level of care in Districts 24D01 and 24D02, belonging to the Province of Santa Elena. In Occupational Health, it is important to contribute to scientific level research in the country with a vision that does not focus only on shortcomings such as the Burnout studies, on the contrary, to see Health in a positive way, in which you can assess staff strengths. The study has a descriptive cross-sectional design, 177 health professionals participated. Results: Engagement in the professionals surveyed corresponds to a high level with respect to the categorization of the Engagement dimensions; with a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of reliability of 0.802. Conclusion: There is Engagement in the sample under study, these professionals, despite the emotional exhaustion they experience, the increase in the demand for care and the multiple activities they must carry out, continue to work with energy and inspiration, they understand their profession as something significant, they fulfill their vocation with the affective bond they have developed with their patients.
