Abstract

ARTEAGA AUQUILLA1, María Teresa  and  NAVARRO ROCHA2, Kelly del Cisne. Standards for the regulation of degree work at the University of Cuenca-Ecuador (2010-2014). Revista San Gregorio [online]. 2020, n.38, pp.163-179. ISSN 2528-7907.  https://doi.org/10.36097/rsan.v1i38.1134.

In the preparation of the degree works, a series of requirements are combined, such as theoretical and methodological knowledge related to research, academic writing and administrative procedures, which are presented as obstacles for students at the end of their studies. This causes university students to finish their careers but fail to graduate with all the academic, socio-economic and personal implications that this entails. Therefore, this article aims to explore the eleven-degree academic regulations of the University of Cuenca, through the descriptive method. From which it is possible to establish that the regulations are understood more as the regulation of administrative processes than as research and academic writing.

Keywords : University of Cuenca, academic regulations; thesis work; composition; regulation; academic writing.
