Abstract

There are many accidents at work in the world annually, with results of injuries and death; according to the results of the investigation. a research on one of the most recognized methodologies for the analysis and change of worker behavior such as Behavior Based Safety (SBC). The objective of the present study is to carry out a review of the SBC management program, its effect on the reduction of the sinisterness and the safety culture and the management commitment as a basis for the application of the SBC program. Through an exploratory systematic review with the use of keywords and content analysis based on the variables of interest, 30 articles are selected in English and Spanish, by means of an electronic search in scientific-academic literature such as academic Google and in specific databases such as SciELO; Redalyc; ScienceDirect, Scopus among others. Among the studies reviewed, a decrease in the sinisterness of up to 80% is shown through the implementation of the SBC program, and the relationship between the culture variables in safety and managerial commitment for the implementation of the program in the study is determined.
