Abstract

The objective of the work was to design, install and evaluate irrigation systems in the community of Bellavista, canton 24 de Mayo, province of Manabí, Ecuador, which was finalized through the elaboration and realization of the link project, in which students from the Faculties of Agricultural Engineering and Agronomy of the Technical University of Manabí participated. The elaboration of the same was in correspondence with the guidelines established by the Department of Bonding of the University, in relation to the elaboration and development of the linking projects. From the request made by the association of producers, the call was made to students who were inserted in the project and were located in each of the producer communities that make up the association. The main results are the participation and training of 20 producers and 83 students, regarding the design, installation and operation of 10 irrigation systems, with the concretion of the project it was possible for the producers to carry out plantings both in the winter and in the summer, increased their productive levels and social welfare.
