INTRIAGO MIRANDA1, Stalin Arnaldo. Burnout syndrome in health workers of a hospital in the Junín-Bolívar district management. Revista San Gregorio [online]. 2019, n.35, pp.94-107. ISSN 2528-7907. https://doi.org/10.36097/rsan.v1i35.962.
Burnout syndrome is characterized by being a response to chronic work stress that leads to activities and feelings of a negative nature towards their own professional role, being more frequent in professions that have direct contact with users, such as medical professionals. The consequences have a negative impact on the health of workers, on the functioning of the organization, on work performance and productivity. The objective was to know the main causes of the burn syndrome in the personnel of a hospital care center of the Junín-Bolívar District Directorate, by applying a tool designed systematically for its measurement, based on the Maslach Burnout Inventory questionnaire (MBI) with three aspects evaluated: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and, lack of personal fulfillment. A sample of 65 doctors, paramedics and nurses in operational functions of the different areas of exposure to work was considered. The results show that 15% of the study population suffers from the chronic fatigue syndrome prevalent in female workers. This work is an alternative applicable in public and private institutions of first, second and third level of health care, due to its reduced cost and precise values.
