The article translates knowledge and ancestral trades in the province of Manabí, whose objective is to promote the dialogue of knowledge and intercultural relations, both based on the socio- cultural imaginaries of the city and the academy, as a form of knowledge production interlacing own knowledge and universal knowledge. For the purpose, the trades of midwives and coffee gatherers are addressed, the same ones that as historical and cultural evidence have complemented the socio-economic development of their environments, opening possibilities to other ways of being and acting.
