This work describes the experience and the results of a linking project between the Licenciatura program in Special Education of the Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí and society. This was an action research with objectives in two dimensions (1) to consolidate the exit profile of teachers in training and (2) to develop innovative learning practices among teachers of ordinary education centers in the city of Manta. In the process, the project was a direct response to the needs of 48 students with learning disabilities. These students required a pedagogical assessment and the planning and adaptations of individual curricula.
