The disappearance of green areas and the imbalance in the country’s biodiversity has affected terribly from a social, economic and environmental point of view. They have also reduced the sustainability of natural resources throughout the country and, specifically, in the province. The PUCEM Unit of Liaison, committed to this cause, began to make proposals for the development of this type of project, in order to achieve an environmental balance and reduce the negative results that cause erosion caused by factors such as wind, the water or the fire, so harmful that they exert on the green zones and the basins of the rivers, as well as on the microwatersheds. The study was based on the reforestation of the most vulnerable areas of the water basin of the different communities or sectors of the Mosquito site, including education centers and community organizations.
