The study of environmental conditions and situations have received the analysis of various specialists from different perspectives and approaches, mainly in regard to existing problems and the need to preserve the environment in order to achieve a better quality of life in current generations and future. Education is no stranger to determine and define ways, routes and work alternatives that address this issue, so that Environmental Education has come to try to generate awareness; it is carried out from several points of view within the educational process in a general way and in particular non-formal environmental education is emerging as a way to address this issue. From a coherent and logical course on the subject, the article proposes a theoretical conceptual analysis of the main elements that are part of the processes related to Environmental Education in the university context until reaching the foundation of the budget son Environmental Education not Formal.
