This article reviews the characteristic elements of the Ecuadorian electoral scenario, and analyzes the performance of Cinthya Viteri as a candidate to the presidency in 2006 and 2017, based on her campaign proposals framed in the handling of her image and message; as well as the means of communication used for their dissemination and the journalistic coverage made by them.
