Abstract

This article takes a theoretical journey through several perspectives developed around the relationship between technology, design and education. It starts with a critical analysis about technology´s definition considering current social conventions that, influenced by today’s technological development, establish an era in which the concept of technology is more a representation than a real instrument. Technology representation constantly tends to make it invisible and to define it based on one of the 3.0 society characteristics: the design orientation. The objective of this article is to open a new debate about the use of technology in education, using the design as a starting point.
