The present research work seeks to determine the perception of the programs of the Public Television Ecuador Tv. in the students of the Manta Educational Unit, day section, during the years 2013 - 2014; The study seeks to determine the influence of public TV as a training tool for the students of the Manta Educational Unit, day section, during the years 2013 - 2014, with the purpose of proposing strategies to position public television Ecuador TV. The study is of transversal type, deductive, analytical and descriptive methods were applied. Among the techniques used are the observation, surveys applied to the students of the educational unit and interviews with the authorities of Ecuador TV, where it could be shown that the students of the institution catalog the public television Ecuador TV as educational, informative and of entertainment and in addition the interest of the channel was observed to emit programs that have a positive impact on education and society.
