The accounting information allows the managers, administrators and personnel of a company to identify, classify, record and evaluate all the transactions that take place daily in the business, this information will be useful at the time of decision making, for which reason be timely and effective, this is when the computer systems are involved, which once the information is processed, give us consolidated, timely and detailed results. This investigation was carried out to demonstrate that the gas stations of Manabí that do not use an integrated control system do not have an effective accounting information at all times, so it was considered important to analyze the problem and explain that an accounting system contributes in the decision making process. of the business. The research was descriptive, analytical and synchronous in order to analyze the information provided, the population in which the problem was investigated were 10 gas stations in which they inquired about the use of software in each of the developed processes, applying data collection instruments that facilitated the investigation. The results of the investigation were that not all service stations use the same software, and even some do not have a system that contributes to a timely and efficient accounting information.
