The purpose of this work is to analyze the perception of students from two approaches: vision and conditions of university students and potential graduates to know the degree of information they have and their expectations of admission to the University. In addition, the context of Yachay Tech is explored as a university center of the city of knowledge that was born as an emblematic project in Ecuador as part of the national strategy of changing the productive matrix that seeks to diversify production and strengthen other strategic sectors. A review of the international and national context of the Economy of Knowledge and its relationship with Yachay Tech is presented. based on the application of two information collection tools, the data are processed for the discussion of results and the approach of challenges such as final considerations.
