Abstract

This descriptive exploratory research aims to generate knowledge about environmental preference in the workers of Playita Mía in the city of Manta. The generation of this knowledge contributes to the articulation of sustainable production and environmental conservation policies for the city. The scale of Inclusion of Nature in Self was used to determine the levels of environmental preference in two dimensions, Natural Environment and Built Environment. The results showed a greater preference for built environments, which can be explained thru the identification of the participants towards scale elements present in the study area. The participants’ relationship with this environment can be used to influence their participation in pro-environmental activities.
