In this paper a state of the art is realized taking into account the main scientific productions about the university teaching of the political science, showing the constitution of a particular area that deals with the study of the curriculum and the processes of professional formation of the field.

This work is presented as a continuation of the line of research that has been developed on the teaching of political science in the Argentine university system and the Latin American region, within the framework of the completion of the doctoral thesis entitled “The construction of the professional role of the graduate in political science in Argentine universities. Curriculum, disciplinary community and labor field”.
