Abstract

MOSQUERA, Carlos Riádigos. Democratic demands of contemporary social movements. An educational proposal. Revista San Gregorio [online]. 2017, vol.1, n.17, pp.104-116. ISSN 2528-7907.

This paper proposes an exercise of reflection and translation of many of the demands generated in contemporary social movements to educational field. As education played an important role in the formation of sensitive and heterogeneous personalities in specific movements, it’s also necessary that learn how much they have to contribute to the education systems. Through a theoretical analysis, are collected and structured experiences and demands highly coincident with each other, of several of the most significant in recent years. It is established from there a link to the educational sphere, which results in the creation of a tool with several categories broken down with different types of claims. This exercise wants to show that the counter hegemonic intercultural dialogue is possible, and it is desirable to achieve it in educational proposals, based on the contributions made by various movements, in addition to value democratic culture and justice of Human Rights.
