Set the State of the art of law and legislation in the hydroelectric sector, oil and gas and mining to Colombia, is the purpose of the article. It is a constant call to the generation and promotion of law, legislation and standards articulated at the time of these industries. The exploratory and descriptive analysis reflects the landscape that is home to industries in these sectors. The development of rights, legislation, regulation and international regulation has been provided more by circumstances, which by a model clear against the triad. The definition of rights and rules altogether legal and legislative frameworks of advanced, have had as a source the close relationship officers and key stakeholders. In essence, the State of the art in the triad, tends to be located more in the economic sources of the business, inspired by the common law. Both, the economic law and institutional analysis end running sources of analysis for the definition of the State of the art for each area.
