This article analyzes the impact of the soft power of the United States, as a politic of state, towards the change of Government in Cuba, starting from the diplomatic rapprochement in December 17th, 2014 (17D). By making the sending of remittances more flexible and supporting private workers, the United States promote a transformation of the island`s social structure, in a medium term. The national Cuban context facilitates this transformation; the process of actualization of the economic model, promoted by the President Raul Castro allowed the expansion of the work in non-state sectors and the increasing of the remittances. The strategy of soft power of the United States to overthrow the socialist Government is masked behind financial incentives and demands bigger opening, freedom, human rights and democracy. Therefore, grows the distrust of the Cuban Communist Party towards private workers, despite the celebratory speech that has won place, gradually.
