Abstract

LARREA SOLORZANO, Andrea Daniela. Without crushing the pulp: chlorotyping practices with Tungurahua leaves. Índex [online]. 2023, n.16, pp.135-144. ISSN 2477-9199.  https://doi.org/10.26807/cav.v9i16.548.

This article presents the results of a process of experimentation with plant substrates from plants that grow in the province of Tungurahua, the same ones that served as a paper substitute for the generation of images through the alternative photographic technique called chlorograpie or chlorotype. In this experimental process, around a thousand tests were generated, during a year and a half of work, considering various environmental factors, to obtain as a result a collection of 350 pieces of natural photographs in which the changes of Salasaca iconography are recorded, without using no additional chemical to the chlorophyll of the selected leaves.

Keywords : chlorotype; chlorograpie; phytotyping; expanded graphics; relational aesthetics; photography; alternative processes; Salasaca..
