Starting from the theoretical perspective based on Memory Studies and through the selection of some cases that are considered representatives, the objective is to account for the various devices that photography adopts and its incorporation as an iconographic element of representations that are included in the action repertoire of activism for memory and human rights. Key issues on the subject are exposed, the corpus is analyzed and, finally, some conclusions are presented to think about the place of photography in the present.
