Abstract

CACERES, Juan Fernando. NOTES ABOUT THE NOTIONS OF INDISCIPLINARITY AND THOUGHTCRIME AS WAYS OF RESTORING THE IMAGE. Índex [online]. 2021, n.11, pp.140-152. ISSN 2477-9199.  https://doi.org/10.26807/cav.vi11.376.

Undisciplining is presented as a methodological possibility for artistic creation and a bet of ethical and political nature. This category moves towards a distancing and awareness of hegemonic disciplinary devices, the overflow of disciplines, and the field's questioning from the discipline itself. The three paths are opposed to the consolidation of totalitarian and exclusionary universalisms, which entails opening new perspectives. Prácticas del Fracaso is a performative space that allows the different agents who participate in questioning their practices through the idea of failure as a trigger for creation. Failure is undisciplining and counter-orthogenetic, insofar. It allows for the investigation of other creative possibilities that transform what the participant believed to be safe and restore the image's role in the dialogue between knowledge wisdom through impossibility, failure, and error.

Keywords : academy; counter-orthogenesis; artistic education; image; indisciplinarity; thoughtcrime; performance; failure practices.
